It was a long time ago that we started this blog. I was full of good intentions to keep it updated but time flies when you are enjoying yourself.
So what is new? Well, we have increased or ranges of designer frames and now carry Silhouette, Carerra, Gucci, Levis, Oakley, Diesel, Prada, Bvlgari, Versache, Tag Heuer, Lacoste, Roberto Cavalli, D & G and, the superb quality, Lindberg range.
Contact lenses are moving more and more to one day modality - throw the lens away after a day's wear and insert a new one in the morning. This is the healthiest contact lens option for the eyes.
I am please to report that there is nothing new with the A-team. The same staff are here to help you and all had extensive training during the winter months to learn more about our products and services.
Considering these tough times, our practice has been surprisingly busy throughout the year. We endeavour to give all of our patients a fabulous experience while providing world class professional eye care and it seems to have paid off. We thank our loyal clientele for their ongoing support.
The end of the year is now in view and I doubt that I will add another post to this blog before then so I will end by saying thank you for showing your interest and taking the time and trouble to read this and all of us at Steve Trimby Optometrist wish you a wonderful year in 2010.

It has been an interesting time for me and the team at the practice. In May a bakkie crashed though our front window. When I say through, I mean right through, it just kept coming until it hit a wall inside the building. The whole vehicle ended up inside the practice. We were very fortunate that no one was hurt or killed but it was a very close shave: two patients had occupied the same spot literally two seconds earlier. If you want to see what happened, type "optometrists window crash" into Google and then go to the "You Tube" link. I promise you it is dramatic enough to be worth the trouble.
Anyway, we always like to turn a negative into a positive. We took the opportunity to remodel that part of the practice and have put in new shopfittings with a stunning granite background. We have intoduced some more top designer brands and now stock Prada, D & G and Bvlgari in addition to Gucci, Tag Heuer, Tom Ford, Roberto Cavalli and Silhouette.

Steve Trimby Optometrist, Somerset West, South Africa
Hi Folks
We at Steve Trimby Optometrist are new to blogging but, after attending a seminar on 10th March 2008, we decided it would be a good idea to have some presence on The Web. Please revisit us from time to time and you should find our latest news here. Better still, pop in to our practice at 5 Bright Street, Somerset West (in sunny South Africa) and chat to us about your eyecare needs.
Best regards
All of us at Steve Trimby Optometrist
